Are Stairlifts safe?
When installed professionally by competent persons/engineers, stairlifts are extremely safe mode of transportation. They have various safety features (mechanical safety edges, seatbelts etc.) to ensure safe travel up and down your staircase. Can Stairlifts go around corners?
Yes, it is possible for stairlifts to go around corners. Whereas a ‘straight’ stairlift needs the length of staircase/travel, ‘curved’ stairlifts are bespoke made specifically to suit your staircase. How much electricity does a stairlift use?
Stairlifts do not use a large amount of electricity as most stairlifts operate using replaceable batteries and ‘trickle’ charged when parked and not in use. This is roughly the same annual cost as keeping a small household television on ‘stand-by’ mode.
Does it take long to install a stairlift?
Typically, a ‘straight’ run stairlift takes approximately 2 hours to install, with more complex/curved installations up to 5 hours. After installation is complete, you will be guided through the correct use of the lift by our engineer to ensure you are comfortable.
